Fish curry prepared with lots of coconut milk and fairly good pieces of fish, makes their fish curry meals served with chammandhi, excellent pickle and a glass of pacha moru, a favorite among travelers who pass by. Varieties of fishes fried slightly to retain its succulent juicy nature and yummy masala taste is a good addition with their afternoon meals.
Thalakkari mulakittathu, a dish with soft flesh, edible fish bones and hot red colored gravy is a superb preparation of fish head with their own special ingredients, but surprisingly less spicy which makes it preferred by every member of the family. Hot and tangy calms roasted with lots of green chili and onion to give a deep yellow color to give their specialty dish Kakka roast.
They serve meals first and bring all the fish dishes in large tray for you to select the item you want, which is then served to your plate. This small restaurant with a single rectangular dining area is furnished using steel tables and steel benches. Comfort is one thing lacking while having food from this place.
Although their ambience can’t be said as tidy and clean, it doesn’t seem to stop the rush of customers, families included from coming to this place. Their small dining area easily gets filled up during their lunch hours and people will be always waiting outside to get seat to have food.
