One of the most trusted names in the city to depend on for some tasty south Indian dishes, SreeRadhaKrishna Coffee Club, started by J. GopalakrishnanEmbranthiri is one of the busiest vegetarian food hubs in town. People love this place for the consistent taste of their dishes, which gets them repeated customers, and accounts for majority of their patrons.
When you turn towards M.O Road from Thrissur Round, this restaurant is located on the left side near to Municipal Office. Being in the city for over 60 years, any native of Thrissur will direct you to this legendary veg restaurant. They have another Branch at Kuruppam Road by the name RadhakrishnaPrasadam to cater the needs of their premium clients. As you don’t have any parking area at this restaurant, it is better to depend on the restaurant at Kuruppam Road for better facilities.
Breakfast time is their rush hours with people pouring in and filling all their dining areas. The taste of their morning dishes, which is so familiar to the patrons in Thrissur is the main reason for this rush. South Indian dishes like Masala Dosa, Upma, Poori Masala and Ghee Roast are some of their primary offerings along with snacks like Uzhunnuvada and Bonda. They serve all these snacks all throughout the day and serve Veg Biriyani instead of Meals in the afternoon.
Most of the morning dishes are prepared on order and they follow a Token system to manage the rush, where you have to pay up first for the dishes you order and give the token to the waiters to be served. They have a family dining area on top floor with separate token counter for the convenience of their family customers. The whole restaurant no matter what time of the day it is and their waiters serve you fast without cracking under pressure. If you are looking for a South Indian veg hub in the city, then look no more as you have struck more than you bargained for with this place.
