A true multi-cuisine restaurant that functions in a heritage building-Saffron Restaurant is located in Spice Fort Hotel at Princess Street near Jawahar Park in Fort Kochi. This restaurant is open from 7:30 am to 10:30 am on all days of the week. Seafood Spaghetti, Wholesome Lunch, Pickled Tuna Salad are some of the dishes to try from here and lunch as well as dinner hours are equally suitable for visiting this restaurant.
Saffron Restaurant mainly aims at attracting those who come to visit Fort Kochi, one of the beautiful tourist destinations in Ernakulam district. This restaurant is set up on the front side of Spice Fort Hotel and has a separate entrance to pull in more walk-in customers.
The restaurant is housed in one of the many heritage buildings that have been converted into hotels and restaurants. Saffron Restaurantis located in Spice Fort Hotel at Princess Street in Fort Kochi, which is near Jawahar Park adjacent to Tower Road. It’s better to station your vehicle near the park than leaving it on the narrow street in front of the restaurant.
Fresh fennel flavoured ‘Seafood Spaghetti’is the signature dish of this restaurant. It is prepared with seafood and English veggies that are cooked with fresh fennel and white wine before serving with spaghetti.A single piece of toasted bread is also served along with this dish.‘Pickled Tuna Salad’ is another tasty delight. Yellow finned Tuna fish is pickled using white wine, vinegar and oliveand served with apple chutney. The mix of vinegar and white wine renders this dish a bit soury taste.
‘Wholesome Lunch’ is the name given to a full spread of Kerala meal served at this restaurant. Rice and two sets of vegetable curries are served along with Kerala style chicken curry. This Kerala special dish has a huge demand among the foreigners as well as local customers. ‘Organic Kenova with Orange Dressing’ is a nutritious and healthy dish to try. Kenova dressed with freshly squeezed orange and olive oil before serving with pomegranate seeds and olives.
This restaurant has an upper-class look created using modern furniture and continental dining table sets. There is a single dining hall furnished with different sized tables, chairs and sofas. A separate cafeteria and juice parlour are also available here for the patrons.
