For one of the biggest town in Malappuram district, Perinthalmanna has only very few restaurants and eateries you can depend on for good food. Located opposite KSRTC Bus stand on the ground floor of a complex, Royal Plaza restaurant, with its speciality Arabian cuisine is something to look forward to. Mutton Mandhi, Kabsa, Al Faham Chicken and Royal Fried Chicken are some of the special dishes to try from this place which is open from 8 am to 11 pm everyday. Details
This place is as good as its going to be when it comes to casual dining in Malappuram district. With their tasty food and quality ambience Royal Plaza restaurant makes a clearly set bench mark for similar restaurants to follow.
Arabian cuisine made this restaurant, on Hospital Road, opposite KSRTC Bus Stand, at Town Junction Perinthalmanna, a recognized name among the foodies in the district. A proper parking area is available infront of the restaurant and beneath the ground floor near the entrance to the restaurant.
Without much spices and prepared in the authentic Arabian cuisine, Chicken Mandhi is a star of their Arabian cuisine. With what many Malayalis might call as a blank taste, this is a superb dish you won’t let go off once you get the hang of it. Kabsa is another Arabian cuisine dish which kind of resembles the local Biriyani but has a complete different low on spices and masala which gives the dish an altogether different taste.
Devoid of the usual yellowish tinge seen in Al Faham Chicken, the dish served here resembled more like grilled chicken with its reddish masala and flavor. But despite this easily recognizable difference, served with mayonnaise and sauce, the dish was exceptionally tasty despite whatever name you choose to call it. Dry and crispy to the core, Royal Fried Chicken is the name given to their special Broasted Chicken. Way crispier than the usual Broasted Chicken, it lacked the juiciness of the flesh but was just so nice to let go.
Now here is a restaurant which understood serving good food is not the only thing that counts when it comes to a complete restaurant. They have two main halls in which the air conditioned main hall is allotted only to their family customers. Bit unfair to their other customers but they won’t complain much as both the dining areas are properly furnished and decorated in a skillful manner.
Parcel customers are also prominent during their evening hours. They have a good waiting lounge for the parcel customers by the cash counter. Service is just average but it does the job. In overall this is a good dining destination for both family as well as a cool hangout for youngsters.
