Rappai’s Fast Food has been the part and parcel of nightlife in Palarivattom area since 1997. This small restaurant on Civil Lane Road got noticed for their special Chicken Fry and ThattuDosa they served to their many famous patrons. They are open in the evening from 5 pm to 12 am on all days of the week.
Named after the legendary foodie of Kerala, Rappai’s Fast Food has been a bastion of fast food lovers in Palarivattom since 1997. They started this place in admiration and used the name with his permission. When they started their second restaurant in Palarivattom back in 2004, none other than Rappaichettan inaugurated it in a classic way – conducting a food eating competition, which he won.
Rappaichettan, as he is fondly called by his close ones, has left behind his legacy with these two restaurants, which proudly boasts his name. The first restaurant, a small fast food place opens during night hours is located on the starting of Civil Lane road, near Palarivattom Junction, on the right side when you travel towards kaloor. The second restaurant, which is more suited for family customers, is on first floor of the building right at Palarivattom Round.
The unique dish from the evening special hotel that made them standout is their ThattuDosa and Chicken Fry combination. Crisp fried Nadan chicken fry along with Thattudosa and three awesome chutneys has many takers among the foodies in Kochi.
Their other hotel has a much more elaborate a la carte menu and will be open from 12 pm in the afternoon. With much better furnishing and space, this one is much preferable option for patrons who visit these places with families. Parcel service of their famous ‘thattukkada’ items is at its peak during their dinner hours. Fast food restaurant on Civil Lane road has a live kitchen in front of the restaurant where they prepare all the dishes. Preparation of Dosa, Porotta and Chicken Fry are one of a kind to watch while waiting for your dishes to be served.
They do not have any parking area but during late night hours, you can park on the sides of the one-way road. If you are looking for a quick bite of some of the best ‘nadan’ dishes, don’t miss out on this place when you visit Kochi.
