Ramees Restaurant brings a fine dining experience and menu to the city under a very reasonable price tag. This restaurant is near LIC Building, on Residency Road, Chinnakkada and will be open from 12 pm to 12 am everyday. Malabar dishes like Dum Biriyani, Kozhi Potti Therichathu and Chicken Fry are the dishes to note from this restaurant. Lunch and dinner hours are the apt times and they serve Chinese, Arabic and Tandoor cuisines too.
For a fast growing city, Kollam still lacks in the variety of fine dine restaurants. Ramees Restaurant is comparatively the newest entry to the list, which within a short period of time became an important name in the foodie’s directory. This multi cuisine restaurant started in 2014 has a pretty elaborate menu, which spans across Malabar, Chinese, Arabian and Tandoor cuisines. Located on a spacious compound at Residency Road, Chinnakkada, near the LIC building, they have ample space for parking. When you are traveling from Chinnakkada to Ashraamam, turn towards Residency Road where Forest Office or LIC Building is located and this restaurant will be at the end of that road.
With a pretty elaborate menu on each cuisine, their choice of Malabar dishes contains few dishes exclusively prepared only at this restaurant. Black Pepper Chinese, Prawns Tawa Fry, Chicken Fry, Kozhi Pottitherichathu, Dragon Chicken, Biriyani, Meen Pollichathu etc are some of their main dishes to try. Grilled and Tandoori dishes, which are commonly available in the evening, at most restaurants are available here from the afternoon itself.
The whole ambience of the restaurant is done pretty sleek with an Arabian theme. Lit softly and furnished with posh chairs and tables, the place is perfect for a weekend dinner outing. As reservations are accepted, it is best to call and book seats if you are travelling as a group as the rush during their peak dining hours might make you wait.
Apart from their main dining area, they also have a semi open dining area that acts as a dessert cum juice parlor that has been named as Juice Junction. Service even during peak hours are efficient with experienced waiters but do note that as the dishes are prepared on order, there is a slight delay in serving the dishes.
Wide menu, good food, tastefully decorated ambience – Ramees restaurant ticks all the correct boxes that a patron looks for in a good restaurant. So if you are searching a restaurant with these qualities, Ramees won’t disappoint you.
