Oyasis Restaurant is a good family hotel with a multi-cuisine menu on offering. Located opposite Kottakkal Arya Vadhyashala at Chankuvetty in Kottakkal, this restaurant is open from 9 am to 12 am seven days a week. But it is best to come here during the evening. Shawarma, Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Mandhi, Chicken Alfam are some of the dishes you must try from this restaurant.
Ever since its inception in 2001, Oyasis Restaurant has been extending its dining areas in order to accommodate the rush of customers. Among the different varieties of cuisines on offering here, Arabian is the most popular one.
This restaurant is located directly opposite to Kottakkal Arya Vaidhyashala. It also has branches in Tiroor and Perinthalmanna. Parking area is available on the back side of the restaurant.
‘Shawarma’ is the dish most in demand in this restaurant during the evening time. This Arabian snack item has shredded pieces of grilled chicken mixed with mayonnaise and filled inside a Kuboos. The chicken used in this dish is grilled using special masalas. ‘Mutton Mandhi’, an Arabian dish is prepared here with a local touch to make it more acceptable among the locals. The mutton is marinated with a unique masala. Use of pepper corns gives this dish a strong flavour.
‘Chicken Biriyani’ comprises pieces of chicken and a boiled egg covered with biriyani rice. The dish is served here with pickle and salad. ‘Chicken Alfam’ is another evening special dish from the grilled chicken items that has a huge demand. This dish is prepared with Arabian masalas. The chicken has a yellow tinge and often gets charred in places as it is directly grilled over cinders.
Oyasis Restaurant has three dining areas all of which are properly furnished. A special air-conditioned family dining space is also available. During the evenings, tables are placed outside the restaurant to manage the rush of customers. ‘Shawarma’ and ‘Grilled Chicken’ are served in these makeshift dining areas.
A separate ‘Shawarma’ counter, and a juice and dessert parlour is also present. The ground floor of this restaurant is mainly for the customers who want to tastethe Malabar snacks items or other similar refreshments available here. This is a restaurant that tries to take care of all food related requirements of its patrons.
