This is one of those places you can absolutely indulge in with your favorite dishes without burning a hole in your pocket. M.M Stall is located right in the middle of the city at G.B road near Kalpaka lodge. This restaurant is closed on all Sundays and will be open from 8:30 am to 10 pm. Kanji, kada fry, beef chili, meen thalakkari etc are some of the must haves from this place.
Its small, it looks shabby and it doesn’t qualify into any of the usual restaurant looks. But boy! Do they serve tasty food? Oh yes, and you get spoilt with choices too. There isn’t another place in Palakad where you get so many varieties of non veg dishes as cheap as this. M.M stall has the added advantage of being at one of the most accessible areas inside the city.
Kalpaka lodge Complex is located on J.B road between Sulthanpettu Junction and Jobby’s mall. M.M stall is located behind the abandoned Kalpaka lodge complex. This gives this small restaurant, the added advantage of good parking area, even after being at one of the busiest roads in the city. To avoid any confusion, they have put up various signboards to show the way to the restaurant, which is on right side when coming from Sulthanpettu Junction.
M.M stall shows its customers something as trivial and simple as Kanji can be made into an excellent dish with the right combination of side dishes. kanji is served at this restaurant along with superb chammandhi, pickle, grams and tapioca. Kada fry prepared with very low oil content has an appetizing deep orange color, courtesy of the special masala used in marinating the dish. As a dish that doesn’t compromise on health for taste this dish has a good demand at this hotel.
Tapioca and meen thalakkari combination is another dish to watch out for. Spicy taste of the gravy compliments the pieces of fish head used in this dish and you will be pretty surprised as the rates of this dish is pretty cheap in comparison. Kappa and beef is another much demanded combination dish from this place. Beef with its thick spicy gravy goes well with the tasty tapioca.
Even though this place might look shabby it has pretty decent dining areas with two small dining areas. The rush hour at this restaurant is during their lunch hours but dinner hours are equally perfect if you want a hassle free dining experience. Cheap price, good food and easily accessible spot make this small restaurant a perfect food spot for foodies.
