A dedicated restaurant for Chinese and Thai cuisines-Ming’s Wok is located at Panampilly Nagar opposite the Bank of Baroda. Open from 11:30 am to 11 pm on all days, it is best to come for a weekend dinner here to experience some of their special dishes like Crackling Spinach Chicken, Kai Chi Chicken, Dragon Chicken Noodles and many more.
Started recently in 2010, Ming’s Wok has made a place for itself in the city’s food circuit within these few years. Chinese cuisines that are so commonly available everywhere is prepared here with slight modification to give it a unique taste. This might have been the biggest challenge for this restaurant which also serves Thai food.
Ming’s Wok is located opposite the Bank of Baroda at Panampilly Nagar on the Service Road. They also have a continental cuisine restaurant on the first floor of the restaurant named -Truffles. Roadside parking facility is available for the customers.
‘Crackling Spinach Chicken’ has spinach and chicken fried after dipping it in a corn flour batter. While the spinach tastes sweet and sugary, the fried chicken pieces are covered in thick syrupy sauce that gives it a tangy flavour. This combination of these two makes this dish very unique. ‘Kai Chi Chicken’ is another different dish to try from here that bears a stark resemblance to ‘Dragon Chicken’ in terms of the small pieces of chicken used in the preparation. This dish has a slight sour taste and looks quite attractive because of its bright orange colour.
‘Dragon Chicken Noodles’ contain fried chicken pieces shredded and mixed with the noodles. Capsicum and potato are the other main ingredients used in this dish.
The interior of Ming’s Wok has been designed with a red theme. The restaurant is fully air-conditioned and is dimly lit that make it a great place for a family dinner outing. They accept credit cards here. There is also a special parcel counter and waiting area at the entrance of the restaurant itself.
