Ming Palace located at Pathans Complex in Round South is said to be the first restaurant in Thrissur dedicated only to Chinese cuisine. Reasonable price of dishes available in good quantity is what made this restaurant, which has been around for over 20 years, a favourite among its patrons. The hotel can be visited any day between 11 am to 10 pm except on during festivals like Onam and Vishu. Hao Ming is a sister concern of this restaurant run by the same owners.
If you are a lover of Chinese cuisine and are in search of a good place to savour such delicacies in Thrissur, head to Ming Palace. This restaurant with a single dining area is the busiest during the lunch time from 1 am to 3 pm. A wide range of tasty Chinese dishes adorn the menu here. So, you have ample options to choose from.
This restaurant functions from the first floor above Pathans Restaurant. Valet parking is available in the Pathan’s complex itself. There is nothing much to say about the ambience of this place. The dining area is lit up with soft and colourful LED lights. This creates a play of light and shadow. As the restaurant draws lots of customers who prefer to avail the ‘take away’ facility, there is a waiting area for them at the reception cum cash counter.
Even though the hotel lacks an attractive look, the food served here is exceptional in terms of taste. ‘American Chop Suey’ is one of dishes most preferred by the foodies who come here. Fried noodles, vegetables and tomato sauce are used to make this crispy dish. A special egg bulls eye is placed on top before serving it to the customer. The dish is enough to satisfy the hunger of an average person.
‘Schezwan Triple Fried Rice’ has a combination of three types of rice and noodles. It has fried rice, steamed noodles as well as crispy noodles. All these are topped with shredded pieces of chicken and gravy to make this tasty platter that can be eaten without any side dish.
Along with their signature Chinese cuisine, Mexican food has also been introduced for the first time in Thrissur through the sister concern ofMing Palace called Hao Ming. This restaurant is the result of a realisation by the owners of Ming Palace that good ambience is as important as good food for attracting more customers. The short comings in terms of décor in Ming Palace are completely wiped out here. A good mocktail lounge is also available. So, if you are looking for a cool place to hangout with friends or a different dining experience with your family, visit Hao Ming
