They are open from 10 am to 1:30 am on all days of the week, and Chicken Kondattom, Chicken Wayanad, Fish Mango Curry, Beef Olarthu, etc. are some of their must try dishes.
Masafi is not one of those new sprouted out restaurants just to take advantage in the increasing interest towards Malabar cuisine, but a place that created a love in the minds of Kochi people with their signature Malabar delicacies.
When you are coming from Pipeline Junction towards Kakkanad, this restaurant is located on left side of the road just before the State Bank of India Building. Started back in 2002, they have four other branches in the city, at Vyttila, Kadavanthra, Edapally and M.G Road. They serve dumbiriyani dishes during afternoon hours and varieties of Malabar special snacks and dishes are their speciality during dinner hours. All their dinner dishes are prepared and kept in heated containers by evening and are served on order from their customers. Malabar Special snack dishes such as Elanchi, Unnakkaya, Chatty Pathiri, Kaypola, Muttamala are widely in demand from their patrons during evening and dinner hours.
Chicken Kondattam, Chicken Wayanad, Fish Mango Curry, Chicken Chettinadu, Kallummakaya fry, etc. are some of the mouth-watering dishes they have on offer on almost every day from their Malabar cuisine. They have one or the other thing to satisfy whatever it is that you prefer, whether it is chicken, mutton, beef or seafood. The best time to visit this restaurant will be during their weekend dinner hours, where the varieties are more than on weekdays. For any Malabar cuisine lover, their weekend special dishes are nothing less than an absolute treat. You can see samples of all the dishes they have for the day kept in glass containers. While you move towards the dining area, it is best to have a look and decide what you want before settling down to have food.
They have two dining areas for this restaurant, and the top floor is reserved for family customers. Furnishing at this place is pretty basic but goes along with the overall mood of the restaurant. They have a small parking area right beside the restaurant where you can park comfortably.
