Lokah Restaurant & Café is a splendid restaurant to take your family out for a dinner to. Situated near the Hyundai Showroom at Vytla Bypass in Chalakyavattom this multi-cuisine restaurant is also a great pit stop point for the Highway travellers. The café is open from 11 am to 11 pm and is generally very crowded during the lunch and dinner hours.
Come once and you would definitely want to visit again. Lokah Restaurant & Café at Vytla Bypass, Chalakayavattam has made a mark for itself among the restaurants in and around Ernakulam city within the four years of its establishment. The foodies in Kochi are a hard lot to impress but this hotel has lived up to their expectations and high standard.
The people who turn up in this restaurant are not attracted by just one thing but the whole shebang. Serving the best of local Kerala, Goan, Lebanese, Malaysian, North Indian, Continental and many other cuisines this is a multi-cuisine restaurant in true sense.
‘Duel Chilli Mahi Mahi’ is the chef special dish they offer their customers. Mahi Mahi is the name of the fish used in the preparation which is fried after marinating with two types of chilli paste- Tabasco and Paprika. Served along with different sauces the dish will make you go wow from the first bite itself.
The most demanded item from the main course menu is‘Grilled Tenderloin Steak’. The steak is usually grilled in medium flame and is served with pepper sauce and boiled vegetables sauce. The taste of the juicy steak dipped in sauces is just mind blowing. Good starter dishes are also available here. One among them is ‘Punjabi Chicken Samosa’. It is prepared by filling chicken into the samosa mould and giving it a shape of something that is of current relevance. The dish is served with two types of sauces to choose from.
‘Kongi Crispy Fried Beef’ is another recipe worth mentioning. Kongi basically refers to a style of cooking. This dish has a remarkable spicy yet sweet taste that comes from adding honey to the masala mixture. The crunchy fried beef pieces also taste quite different than the ones you usually get. This dish indeed wins extra brownie points for its unique flavours.
The service and ambience also enhance the overall appeal of Lokah Restaurant & Café. The plush interior with pleasant lighting has been designed with elegance. This restaurant has an experienced chef and an owner who personally overseas everything happening here.
