Like many other restaurants in the district, the name of this restaurant also evokes so many questions in the mind of a first time visitor. Founder of this restaurant was an ex-serviceman who came back to his native and started a small restaurant as a livelihood for his family. As this restaurant grew popular, people started calling it as Jawan’s (Soldier) Hotel and much later, when the newer generation of the family decided to name the restaurant officially, they called it by the name affectionately given to them by their patrons.

Afternoon lunch hours are their rush hours but if you are going to try their beef dishes evening time will suit you just fine as there is very less rush during this time. Most of their evening special dishes including beef are prepared in the afternoon itself and served to their customers after heating on order.
Beef curry and Beef fry, best tried with their porotta, are the must try items from this place. They do serve other local cuisine dishes like Chicken Curry, Egg Curry and Fish Curry too. Most of the customers who come here are regular, and local customers, so don’t expect much courtesy or professionalism in service. However, they do have a neat and clean ambience for an ordinary restaurant.
Three generations of culinary expertise are the main reasons for the taste of their dishes. Although nothing much extraordinary to boast about, they do serve some dishes that are worth a try if you fancy a trip to the suburbs of the city.
