The traditional abode for the rich and classy since 1963, Grand Hotel, is located on M.G Road. Continental, Chinese, Indian and local Kerala cuisine dishes are served at this restaurant which opens from 12 pm 11 pm every day. Schezwan Karimeen, Ammachis Kozhi Roast, Tiger Prawns Ularthu, Dum Biriyani, Dark Fantasy etc are some of their must try dishes. Both lunch and dinner hours are equally suitable to visit this restaurant.
Grand Pavilion restaurant, in Grand Hotel, Kochi is something that has been a part of Kochi’s elite class for some time now. This place has so many famous loyal customers, which is quite an achievement. But what is even more great is their loyal employees from waiters to head chef who have helped in making the experience consistent and great.
Many of their waiters have been working at this establishment for more than a decade and the head chef has already completed 25 years of service. This loyal employee base makes this restaurant retain its legacy, legendry taste and excellent service for which they are so famous for. For example, there are customers who are regulars at the restaurant, always served by a particular waiter all the time or expects to be seated at a particular table if its free. These kinds of small details add up to give this place its personal touch with their customers.
Although their menu has gone over some changes over the period, most of their Kerala cuisine dishes have stayed the same. Dum Biriyani from this restaurant has been tantalising the Kochi’s foodies for quite some time now. Prepared in the special Dum preparation method and then stuffed inside an earthen pot and sealed to save the aroma, Biriyani has a unique and mind blowing taste and smell.
Ammachis Kozhi Roast, Tiger Prawns Ularthu, Schezwan Karimeen etc are some of their other must try dishes from a menu filled with variety of dishes. Seafood dishes from this place have always been fantastic and their nadan Karimeen Pollichathu dish has lots of fans among celebrities in the city.
This restaurant is located on M.G Road on the left side when you are travelling from Jose Junction to Maharajas Collage ground. They have a pretty spacious compound where you can easily park your vehicles peacefully.
The restaurant is one large dining area furnished with taste and elegance in mind. Tables are placed in such a way that there is enough space between them for privacy. You have chandeliers for lighting which emits soft yellow hue which amplifies the richness of the settings.
