The authenticity of the dishes served at this restaurant in this small town blows your mind. Arabian Dishes served at this restaurant has always tried to maintain the original taste of Arabia which even the big names in Malappuram has failed to capture. That is precisely why Grand Alfahm restaurant attracts customers from every nook and corner of Malappuram District.
Now the question is how do they do this? The owner and head cook of the restaurant Mr. Hussain has worked in the Afgani Restaurant in Saudhi Arabia for over twenty years. So when he eventually returned to his homeland, he thought he will put that experience into good use. Now this place on a daily basis uses 15-20 KG of rice and 60 – 70 chicken and half as many fishes to serve their customers.
The orange coloured Buhari Rice is prepared using very expensive Basumathi Rice. They buy rice in large quantities to serve it cheap to their customers. Al Faham a common Arabian dish nowadays available almost every other restaurant still doesn’t fail to amaze you. Chicken is first half grilled and then marinated with their slightly sour Arabian Masala. They are then fully cooked before serving to customers on order.
Their special fish grill called Samak Magali and Mutton Soup named Laham are some of the other must try dishes from this Arabian restaurant. Owners experience in the Arabian culinary art is evident with the taste of each of their dishes. They have an open kitchen setup close to the dining hall where you can see the preparation of your dishes.
