Coach restaurant near Government hospital, Kanyakulangara, got famous for their special mutton dishes they serve their customers for more than three decades. Mutton curry, Mutton roast, Liver roast are some of the best dishes to try from this place, which is open from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm. Lunch and dinner hours are both suitable times to visit this restaurant.
This half a century old restaurant, which is said to be the first restaurant in the area, got famous over the years among their patrons for their mouth watering mutton dishes. The main reason for the popularity of dishes from Coach Restaurant is that they use fresh mutton from the goats at their own farms to assure the quality of their dishes.
Hot and spicy mutton roast is arguably the best dish served by them. Go order this dish and have a bite, rest assured you will be searching for water the very next moment. But for those who are in love with the tangy taste, this dish is a treat for the taste buds, with its fresh mutton pieces combined with the thick viscous masala.
Mutton curry is a more suitable dish to devour with their porotta or pathiri dishes with lots of gravy for you to mix and have. This superb dish has pieces of mutton in a comparatively loose gravy and spiciness. Prepared with fresh mutton liver and thick tangy masala, Liver roast is a very unique dish you can try with their biriyani or fried rice dishes. Biriyani from this place, served during their lunch hours also has huge fan following.
Coach restaurant is located near Government hospital, Kanyakulangara, which is on the way to Trivandrum city from Venjarammoodu. This restaurant is run by a single family, who also owns a slaughter house and farm nearby. Afternoon lunch hours are their rush hours but dinner hours are also equally suitable to visit this place.
Ambience of this restaurant is pretty spacious, which includes a family dining space and a small confectionary shop at the entrance. Furnished with wooden tables with granite tops and steel chairs, everything is arranged in an orderly fashion and neatness and cleanliness has been given prime importance, although the same can’t be said about their service that is quite sluggish. You can park you vehicles on the area available infront of the restaurant.
