Some dishes with unique names and taste made this otherwise ordinary looking restaurant in C.K Tower, on Pattambi Road, got noticed among the local populace in Idapal. Kozhi Kurumulaku, Majestic Chicken, Chicken 20-20, Kuttichira beef are some of the speciality dishes from this place, which is open from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm on all days of the week.
With simple ambience and fast food concept, Altaj restaurant is quite popular among the foodies in Idapal. They have tasty, variety dishes, fast service and an effective parcel service, what’s their not to like about this local eatery, which ticks all the right columns for a fast food restaurant.
This restaurant restaurant is located just before the Idapal hospital, when you travel from Idapal junction towards Pattambi. This restaurant is inside a C.K Tower complex on left side of the road. There is a small parking area on the front side of the building. In case its full, then there is a paid parking area available just opposite the building.
Kozhi kurumulaku is a spicy dish with much demand from this restaurant. This dark colored dish as its name suggest is made primarily with pepper to give it that extra tanginess. This dish has very dry gravy that sticks to the pieces. Majestic Chicken is one of their specialty dishes, which has long slender pieces of chicken with a golden brown color. This dish is very low on spices and oil and has a very tasty masala marinated over the pieces.
Kuttichira beef is their own specially prepared beef roast. This dish is modified using Malabar maslalas and has very thick gravy and a very light spicy taste. Chicken 20-20 another equally preferable dish with their own small alterations to Chicken 65. This dish looks like dry Chicken 65 but has a slightly different taste. This dish has a very deep color marinating and is fried dry in oil.
All their evening dishes are already prepared and served after heating on order from their customers to ensure a fast service and effective service. Tandoori dishes are also a speciality item during their evening hours but their lunch hour is dominated by the demand for Biriyani. They have two dining areas, in which one is air conditioned.
