Need a proper chilled out place to hang out with your buddies? 8 Point Art Cafe gives you that open ambience and a cool menu to try out. This cafe is located at Ashramam at Kollam City itself and will be open from 11 am till 9 pm every day. Evening time will be the best time to enjoy this place and Kanji and Payar, Kappa Biriyani, Chicken Burger, Sulaimani etc are some of the must-try items from this place.
8 Point Art Cafe is everything you expect a proper cafe to be. It has a cool menu, contemporary ambience and a chilled out vibe. They have successfully integrated a library, cultural space, exhibition centre and a cafe all into one.
Here their menu is a fun mix of traditional Kerala dishes and continental cuisine. Kanji and Payar is one of the all-time favourite combos many people visit them for. Whether its sulaimani, Kappa Biriyani, or Kanji and Payar, they have many dishes you won’t usually find in other similar cafes. This doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have any of your favourite continental dishes. Burger and fries they serve here are one of those dishes that have a lot of fans.
Other than the dishes they serve, there are a good number of reasons why you should visit this place. They were the first ones in Kerala to introduce a concept called ‘Little Free Library’, where you can take a book from their collection by giving back a book you have. These kinds of concepts basically distinguish this cafe from the regular boring cafes we are used to.
There Art Exhibition space is always active with different works of upcoming as well as established artists put on display. Well lit and spacious interiors always adorn contemporary paintings and modern art illustrations. They have an al fresco stage where they conduct live performances on a monthly basis, which kind of makes this place a cultural hub among the youngsters in Kollam.
This cafe is located at Ashramam, near government Guest House. They have ample amount of parking space available right in front of the cafe itself.
Their restaurant space is mainly in the open right at the courtyard of the building. They have tastefully decorated the whole front area with dimly lit lights and shades. They also have few tables set on the veranda too with furniture that goes with the overall rustic look of the place.
